Dear Parents & Guardians,
Welcome to the 2016/2017 school year at P.S.11Q! We are very excited for the fun and productive year that lay ahead! Outlined below you will find some information about the P.S.11Q’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA), our role within the school and various opportunities to become involved and volunteer throughout the year.
PTA Mission & Membership
All parents of children attending P.S. 11Q are automatically considered members of the PTA. That means YOU! There are no pre-qualifications, time commitments or other expectations required to participate in the P.S.11Q PTA. Our role is to become more involved in our children’s education, support our children and their teachers, to share ideas and enrich the P.S.11Q community.
A new PTA Executive Board was elected in June of 2016. Each members’ name and Board position are outlined below.

PTA Programs & Fundraising
One of our primary objectives as a PTA is to support P.S. 11 with resources, funds, programs that help to maximize the education of every child and benefit the school. Some of the events that we would like to host this year include Picture Day, The Winter Festival, International Night and an online book fair. We welcome any and all ideas you may have for other social, cultural or fundraising events!
A special thanks to all of the parents who volunteered or contributed last year! All parent contributions are incredibly valuable whether it be your time, ideas, donations to fundraisers, attendance at PTA meetings and PTA sponsored events. Without all of these contributions, we would not be able to achieve the PTA’s goals.
